Buffalo, NY (WKBW) -- Here are the top stories from Good Morning Western New York.

Buffalo fire crews made a frantic search for a resident believed to be inside a burning home in North Buffalo this morning. Fire crews were called to the North Park house around 1 a.m., and firefighters eventually found the resident who had already escaped.

Police in Batavia, NY continue to investigate the death of 27-year-old James Maher, whose body was found outside a Blockbuster Video store Saturday night.

The unidentified remains of the victims of Flight 3407 are now entombed in two caskets at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo. Family members of the victims attended a private service Sunday.

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition revealed the family who will get a new home on Saturday, and today crews have the old residence reduced to just a foundation. Good Morning WNY reporter Laura Gray was live at the scene to bring us the latest.
