The U.S. Geological Survey say an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 2.6 struck Sunday afternoon in Santa Clara County near the Calaveras Reservoir.

According to the USGS, the earthquake struck at about 2:30 p.m. and had a depth of 3.2 miles.

The quake was centered five miles east-northeast of Milpitas and nine miles north-northeast of San Jose City Hall, according to the USGS.

Obviously there are no reports of damage.
