Harford County firefighters said the crash involved a tractor-trailer carrying nitrogen. Police said the tractor-trailer somehow landed on top of another vehicle.

Medics said four people were injured.

Crews are detouring northbound traffic onto Mountain Road. There is no word on when the interstate might reopen.

State police were forced to close northbound lanes in order to allow crews to determine if there was any hazmat threat and to remove the vehicles from the scene.
