As Hurricane Ida makes it way through the Gulf of Mexico, some area schools have decided to close Monday.
Officials with New Orleans' Recovery District Schools announced that they would be closed Monday, and all Archdiocese of New Orleans elementary and high schools are also closed.
Below is a full list of school closings and early dismissals for Monday, Nov. 9:
Orleans Parish
All Archdiocese of New Orleans elementary and high schools
Algiers Charter Schools
All traditional public schools
All Recovery District schools
UNO Charter Network schools
Bishop McManus Academy, Audubon, Benjamin Franklin High School, Einstein Elementary, Hynes International School of Louisiana, Lusher School, Moton School, New Orleans Charter Science and Math High School, Warren Easton Sr. High, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Charter School, Sophie B. Wright School, Priestly Charter School, McDonogh 42 Elementary Charter School, James Singleton Charter School, St. Paul Lutheran, Upperroom Bible Church Preschool and Academy.
Charter schools supervised by RSD will make individual decisions
Delgado Community College is closing at 4 p.m. Monday.
Calvary Baptist School in Algiers will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. MondaySt. Bernard Parish
All St. Bernard Parish public schools
Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic School in Chalmette

Nunez Community CollegeSt. Tammany Parish
All St. Tammany Parish public schools will close three hours early Monday. There will be no after-care services.
First Academy Early Learning Center will be closed.Plaquemines Parish

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic SchoolSt. Charles Parish
Sacred Heart School in Norco will be closing at noon.
St. Charles Borromeo School will be closing at 1 p.m.
Upper Elementary Schools, Luling Elementary, and all Head Start Students will dismiss at 11:10 a.m. Middle and high schools will dismiss at 11:51 a.m. Lower Elementary schools and St. Rose Elementary will dismiss at 12:30 p.m. After care will not be available to students. And all after-school activities have been canceled.St. John Parish
