Reunion Arena Demolition Starts Back Up

The hovering roof that was once Reunion Arena may come tumbling down in about a week. Officials at the Texas Department of Transportation say the building is set to be imploded the evening of Monday, November 16th.
They say drivers on I-35 should expect rolling stops that evening. The demolition of Reunion Arena started in April, but crews found Styrofoam insulation in the upper deck, and asbestos filled waterproofing around the roof, so the deconstruction came to a halt for the safety of everyone around.
People living near the eyesore say they can only hope it actually comes down.
“Knowing how construction people work and how they like to push things back for some quota of sorts, I hope that is the case but being realistic, it probably is not." said neighbor Kinte Walkera.
There's still no word on whether crews will use explosives to bring down the roof, or if it will be done mechanically.
