Not only did LSU lose out on its chance at a national title, but the team may have lost its star running back, at least for a little while.
A source close to the team told WDSU sports anchor Keli Fulton that starting running back Charles Scott has a broken collarbone.
Scott suffered the injury in the third quarter of Saturday's 24-15 loss to third-ranked Alabama. Scott was injured at the end of a 34-yard run.
There has been no word on how much playing time Scott could miss because of the injury.
