MCMINNVILLE, Tenn. - A community is desperately seeking answers as to who murdered a McMinnville Sunday School teacher as she slept in her living room this past August.

On Saturday friends and family members of Rebecca Mooneyham held a candlelight vigil in Warren County to pray for peace.
Jamie Webb recalls the first time she met Mooneyham a year ago at a fair in town. She said, “She was so, just, you could just see the light inside of her. She just really loved the Lord.”
Even for the youngest who knew Mooneyham, Saturday was hard.
Amy Webb said, “she was my Sunday School teacher and she was a really, really great Sunday School teacher. I'm going to never forget her.”
Dozens of people turned out in McMinnville to remember a life taken too soon.
“I just hope and pray that the person or people who did this will come forward,” said Cynthia Cantrell, Mooneyham’s sister-in-law.
“I don't think she'd believe it. She never would know how many people she actually touched,” said Devoni Mooneyham.
Devoni said she started getting really close to her mom a few years ago after graduating high school.
“She was my best friend. I could talk to her about everything and anything,” Devoni said.
Devoni's mother is gone now. She died in August after someone shot her through her window. An image her daughter will never forget and an image she hopes haunts those who killed her mother.
“I think they are heartless to take her in cold blood like that. I don't see how anyone could look at her while she was sleeping in her chair and do that to her. I just hope and pray every night that they seen what I seen when I woke up that morning to wake up and see my momma in that chair like that. I hope justice is served,” Devoni said.
There have been no arrests in Rebecca Mooneyham's death and the Warren County Sheriff's Office has not announced any significant leads so far.
The church is offering a $2,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest.
