RED LODGE - The Beartooth Recreational Trails Association Ski and Outdoor Gear Swap was held Saturday at the Red Lodge Civic Center. Skis, tents, coats and other equipment filled the center for the event.

Organizers said it was the best turnout yet for the third annual event. The swap helps raise money in order to promote and maintain local trails. It allows attendees to swap, sell and trade items old and new.

President of the Beartooth Recreational Trails Association, Grant Barnard, said it’s more than a swap.

"It's kind of a social thing, you see a lot of people getting jacked-up for ski season. It's a fundraiser so it shows a lot of support for us" said Barnard. Organizers hope to expand the event, as more people get involved.
