LOUISVILLE, Ky. - WLKY.com
The man suspected of attacking his roommate with a hammer will be arraigned Monday morning.
Kevin Watts, 40, was arrested at about 3 a.m. Saturday along Bardstown Road.
Police said Watts attacked his roommate with a hammer at their home in Sellersburg, Ind., on Thursday afternoon, then stole the roommate's car and took off.
Mearl Turner, 56, said Watts wanted $90 from him. Turner said he refused to hand over the money and that's when Watts attacked.
Police said Watts is being held without bond and has a court appearance on Monday. There is no word on whether he will waive extradition.
Detectives said a citizen who watched a news report on the case identified Watts and called the information into police.
