Drunken driver gets 6 years in prison for killing friend

SANTA ANA – A drunken driver who lost control and flipped his car after a 10-hour drinking binge was sentenced today to six years in prison for the death of a friend.
Jose Maria Olmos, 37, of Santa Ana, pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence while intoxicated, misdemeanor driving without a license, plus a sentencing enhancement allegation for causing bodily injury to a victim while driving.
