WOODLAND, Calif. - KCRA.com
Two men have been convicted for participating in activities as part of the Norteno street gang, the Yolo County District Attorney's office said Friday.
Charles Rios and Benito Morales Jr. were arrested in 2008 on charges of beating a man in West Sacramento, then stealing his wallet.
According to police, a witness heard Rios yell "Broderick in the house!" after the attack.
The defendants, both 16, were convicted of felonies along with theft, according to District Attorney Jeff Reisig.
The jury was hung on a charge of assault by means of force likely to cause great bodily injury. The case will be heard again on Nov. 16 to set a date for retrial, according to the office.
