State police: Fatal crashes in ‘09 top last year’s total

LINCOLN, R.I.—The Rhode Island State Police on Friday urged motorists to wear a seatbelt and pay attention while they are driving as the holiday season approaches.
According to state police, there have been more fatal accidents this year than in all of 2008.
