MTSU Breaks Ground On New Building

Project To Be Funded By Student Fees Passed In 2006

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Students at Tennessee's largest undergraduate public university will soon have a new gathering place on campus.

Middle Tennessee State University broke ground Friday on its new $77.13 million, 200,000-square foot student union building.

The new student union was paid for with student fees passed by the student body in 2006.

The new building is scheduled to be complete by 2012.
