Police Arrest Suspect After Lexington Bank Robbery, Pursuit

Police have arrested a suspect in a Friday morning bank robbery in Lexington after a high-speed chase that went through parts of three counties.

The incident began when the suspect allegedly robbed the First Federal Bank on Sir Barton Way in Hamburg Pavillion. Police were able to spot the Mercedes SUV used by the suspect, who was traveling north on I-75.

The suspect fled at speeds that reached around 100 MPH at times. He got off I-75 in Scott County, and eventually ended up going north on Highway 363 into Harrison County.

The suspect eventually crashed the vehicle into a guardrail and tried to flee on foot. Police were able to catch him after a brief foot chase.
