Police ID man in Providence fatal shooting

PROVIDENCE—Providence police have released the name of a 26-year-old man who was shot and killed Friday in Providence.

Police said they found Henry Vargas at about 1:15 a.m. on Aldrich Street near Broad Street with gunshot wounds to the stomach. He was taken to Rhode Island Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
