Peek At Evidence In Quinn Gray Case

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. - During hours of police interrogations, Ponte Vedra Beach mother Quinn Gray and her alleged co-conspirator, Jasmin Osmanovic, talked about each other and what St. Johns County authorities consider a fake abduction.

Channel 4 obtained 37 CDs and DVDs from the state attorney's office, mostly containing audio and video recorded in the days after Gray said she was taken from her home the Friday, tied up and held for ransom.

A frantic Gray called 911 after a hectic Labor Day weekend in which officers from multiple agencies desperately spent three days trying to find her.

Operator:"Sheriff's office, 911, what's your emergency?"Quinn Gray:"My name is Quinn Gray, and I was kidnapped, and I'm not sure where I am right now."

When officers found her in an Orange Park parking lot, Gray sat down and gave a sketch artist a description of her alleged attacker. Even then, her story started to unravel.

Gray, 37, is accused of plotting to extort $50,000 from her husband in a bizarre scheme that ended in two arrests -- hers and Osmanovic's.

"There was a mole in the back of his neck," Gray was recorded saying as she was working with a forensic artist on a sketch of her abductor.

When Gray described Osmanovic's nipples and was asked how she came to see his bare chest, she replied, "We had sex a lot."

During the investigation, Gray was also interviewed by the FBI.

An agent asked her about her relationship with her husband, Reid, saying the police have information claiming she wanted to leave him and just wanted a car, their children and $50,000.

The transcript from the CD of Gray's interview with the FBI agent reads:

FBI:"Tell me about the time you told him you just wanted to pay the car off, you'll take the kids and give you $50,000."Quinn Gray:"What? Huh?"FBI:"Yes, tell me about that."Quinn Gray:"That's not true. He's lying."FBI:"I didn't say he said that."Quinn Gray:"What are you talking about?"FBI:"I'm asking you to tell me about you saying to him, 'I just want the kids, pay the car off, give me 50 grand and I'm gone.'"Quinn Gray:"I don't know what you're talking about. I don't know what you're talking about."FBI:"You don't recall that conversation ever taking place?"Quinn Gray:"No, absolutely not. The guy wants me dead. He'll say and do whatever it takes, and so no matter what, the lie will be on me, but he wants me dead. Or he wouldn't be, wouldn't be upset if I was dead, let's put it that way."

Also among the evidence obtained Thursday by Channel 4 investigators were

pictures taken of Gray after the ordeal

. She said she had been tied up and held hostage.

Last week, Channel 4 obtained the ransom note left on the dining room table of Gray's ocean-front home. It tells her husband to hand over $50,000 or his wife could be harmed.

Reid Gray also said he got a call from his wife and the kidnappers making the same threats. He then called 911.

Reid Gray:"She is not with me. She called me and said she was held by gunpoint with three men."Operator:"Did she tell you where she was at?"Reid Gray:"No, she was in her car. She said 'Our girls ... are still there (at school). I need you to go pick them up.' I need to go pick them up bring them home. There is a note on the table with the gunmen's demands. If I call the police, they will kill her. It sounds like a freaking murder, but it's not."Operator:"OK."Reid Gray:"I have to make a decision now as to rather to involve you guys on this or not. I am not an expert on this."Operator:"Hmm."Reid Gray:"But what she says is there is GPS tracking of some sort on this. I don't know what's going on on my car right now. GPS tracking, supposedly, and if I head in any direction other than my house, they will shoot her and kill her."

Despite all the evidence collected by police, Quinn Gray's attorney maintains she is a victim in this case, claiming she has bipolar disorder and is seeking help.

She is out on bond at a Georgia mental health treatment facility.

Osmanovic remains in jail on $100,000 bond.
