Police in Santa Barbara look for suspected bank robber

Police in Santa Barbara are looking for a man they say robbed a bank in Montecito Wednesday evening.

It happened at the Bank of America on the 1000 block of Coast Village Road.

Police said the suspect approached a teller and handed her a note demanding cash. The suspect claimed to have a handgun, although a gun was never seen. The suspect left the bank with an unknown amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-50s. He's about 5'5", with grey hair and a grey goatee.
