Tractor accident kills Franklin County man

TRI-CITIES, Wash. - Long time Benton-Franklin Fair board member Mike Ross has been killed in an accident on his property in Franklin County.

The 65-year-old was mowing weeds on his property, northwest of Glade Road and Dogwood Road in Pasco, Wednesday when he hit a large cement pipe. The impact caused the tractor to roll on top of Ross, trapping him.

Franklin County Coroner Dan Blasdel told KONA Ross died of asphyxiation.
