MISSION VIEJO – A group of parents who unsuccessfully petitioned the Saddleback Valley Unified School District last spring to open a charter school on the site of a shuttered elementary school is now backing a plan by a Chino-based company to open the campus for them.
Oxford Preparatory Academy, a nonprofit group founded by two Chino Valley Unified School District administrators, is seeking to open a K-8 public charter school on the site of O'Neill Elementary School in western Mission Viejo next fall.
