RICHLAND, Wash.-- Chet Biggerstaff just opened the Three Rrivers Ccollective in Richland.
He hopes to provide information to licensed medical marijuana patients and to eventually grow marijuana for medical use.
Multiple car crashes have left Biggerstaff with chronic pain. He and his doctors decided a combination of prescription drugs and medical cannabis would be the best treatment.
Washington state says he can use marijuana, but he's not allowed to obtain it. He's going against the grain and eventually try to distribute marijuana to local patients.
Biggerstaff says he has tried to meet with Benton County prosecutor Andy Miller to discuss the interpretation of state law, but that his calls have gone unanswered. Miller was unavailable to comment for us today.
