Work was under way Wednesday in Davis to clean up after some train cars derailed.
The derailment occurred Tuesday afternoon near the 600 block of G Street.
Dustin Scroggins, a worker with the nearby Davis Food Co-Op, said the California Northern Railroad freight train went off the tracks at about 4 p.m.
Davis Fire Department Capt. Richard Moore said three cars fell off the tracks.
The derailment isn't a public threat, Moore said.
