RACINE - Thieves stole thousands of dollars worth of stuff from a Caledonia storage facility. One man risked his life to get everyone's belongings back. His entire ordeal was caught on tape in a 911 call.

"I've been kidnapped. They just assaulted me and kidnapped me," Lockwood said on the 911 call.

"Do you feel any emotion listening to this again?" reporter Heather Shannon asked Tuesday.

"Yes. I kind of remember how I felt because I was on top of furniture in the rain and we were going very fast," Lockwood replied.

Don's 17-year-old daughter Kirstin was there. She got emotional listening to her dad's desperate 911 call.

"It was just really sad to listen to," she said.

Kirstin and Don caught thieves breaking into their storage unit. When the thieves tried to get away, Don jumped on to the back of their pickup truck and called police. The entire time he was on the phone with dispatchers he was pointing out local landmarks to help police find where they were taking him.

Police arrested three suspects, who they say stole from several storage lockers. Thanks to Don, many victims now have their belongings back.

"When I talked to some of the people whose items were stolen they were so grateful someone cared," he said. "And to restore a little bit of their peace and happiness and dignity it felt really good."
