A man accused of sexually assaulting and severely beating a woman was arrested after officers tracked him down and found him hiding in an attic.
Bun Mann III, 29, was wanted on several charges including larceny, sexual assault, assault and battery and kidnapping in Fairfield and Richland Counties. He also had outstanding warrants for a previous domestic violence complaint.
Agents with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division investigative support unit tracked Mann to the Castlewood Apartments in Winnsboro Tuesday afternoon.
After agents located Mann hiding in an attic, he was arrested without incident.
Police said Mann sexually assaulted an 18-year-old woman in Richland County on Oct. 26, traveled with the victim to Winnsboro, where he severely beat her the next day.
Tiffany Boyd was also arrested Tuesday and charged with harboring a fugitive.
