Men Stabbed During Altercation At Primrose Avenue Home

STUART, Fla. - WPBF.com
Martin County Sheriff's Office detectives are investigating a double stabbing in Port Salerno.
The stabbing occurred at about 9:30 p.m. in the 5000 block of Primrose Avenue.
Detectives said Denny Evangelista and Robert Ruiz drove to a home there to visit a woman and got into an altercation with another unidentified man. During the altercation, Evangelista was stabbed once in the chest and Ruiz was stabbed multiple times in the abdomen.
The victims left the residence and returned to Ruiz's home on Isabelita Avenue, where they called 911. Evangelista was airlifted to St. Mary's Medical Center, while Ruiz was taken by ambulance to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center. Their conditions were not immediately available.
Detectives said the man who stabbed them fled the scene and remains on the loose.
It was not immediately known what led to the altercation.
