Police Say Charges Pending For Driver Of SUV Who Fled Scene

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - WPBF.com
An 18-year-old motorcyclist remained in critical condition Tuesday after he was struck by a sport utility vehicle whose driver fled the scene, Boynton Beach police said.
The hit-and-run crash occurred Monday night in the 2300 block of North Congress Avenue.
Shane Workman was traveling south on Congress Avenue when an SUV made a U-turn into his path and struck him, throwing him from the motorcycle, police said.
The driver of the SUV fled the scene but was subsequently stopped, police said. He was identified as Michael Frank, 22, of Lighthouse Point.
Workman was taken to Delray Medical Center. Frank was not injured.
Police said charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
