SLO County intersection now clear after morning bus accident

The intersection of Highway 1 and Kansas Avenue is now clear after a morning accident temporarily blocked it.

The California Highway Patrol said an RTA bus and a car collided just before 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. Officers say both drivers suffered minor injuries. All traffic lanes were reopened by 8:40 a.m.

Emergency crews are at the scene of a crash in San Luis Obispo that's involving an RTA public transportation bus and a car.

The California Highway Patrol tells KSBY News the driver of the bus has minor injuries, the condition the other driver is unknown. Right now, the accident is blocking the entire intersection of Highway 1 and Kansas Ave. Crews are not sure when the accident will be cleared up.

The CHP says an off-duty sheriff's deputy and an off-duty medic were near the scene of the accident and were able to help the victims of the crash almost immediately.
