Teen Injured During Hunting Trip

PARIS, Tenn. - A mishap during a hunting trip landed a Henry County teenager in the hospital this past weekend.

A 15-year-old boy was deer hunting on Guthrie Road Saturday evening when he was hit in the thigh by shrapnel from his 12-gauge shotgun.

According to Channel 4’s news partners at the Paris Post-Intelligencer, authorities believe the gun malfunctioned.

Medics airlifted the teen to Nashville for treatment. He has been released from the hospital.
