Missing U.S. Naval Academy Midshipman Found in Preston County

A Maryland man, who was reported missing to the Morgantown Police, was found Monday in Preston County.

Matthew Sanders, 21, of California, Md., was reported missing after he left Beechurst Avenue on Sunday afternoon and never made it to his destination at the U.S. Naval Academy, in Annapolis, Md.

Sanders was found, uninjured, in Preston County, on Monday.

Police did not release the details surrounding his discovery.

He was interviewed by Morgantown detectives Monday afternoon.

Detectives are still investigating the case.
