Events to Honor Deadwood’s Milestone

To celebrate 20 years of gaming, Deadwood will host a series of events all week.

Tuesday through Thursday authors and historians will give a lecture series at different hotels and gaming halls during the lunch hour.

Those who were instrumental in Deadwood's success will share their stories in presentations at the Masonic Temple and Deadwood City Hall in the evening.

On Saturday night the Lodge at Deadwood will host a banquet gala.

Mayor Francis Toscana says, "Twenty years ago we didn't know what to expect and a lot of changes have happened in the last two decades in our community, most of them for the positive.  We just to commemorate what the people of South Dakota allowed us to do in 1989 and go forth."
