Four Teens Killed in Sunday Night Crash

Clarence, NY (WKBW) -- Erie County Sheriff's Deputies are continuing to investigate a fatal crash that occurred at the intersection of County Road at Strickler in the Town Of Clarence, just after 8:00 p.m. Sunday night.

Officials say the accident occurred when a van traveling westbound on County Road struck a dark colored sedan that was traveling northbound on Strickler Road at a high rate of speed, while failing to stop at a stop sign.

There were a total of four occupants in the sedan, all of which suffered fatal injuries. There were two occupants in the van, both of which were transported to the Erie County Medical Center. Officials at the scene late Monday tell Eyewitness News the driver of the van, identified as Mark Grimmer, was released from ECMC. The other passenger in the van remained at the hospital, in serious but stable condition.

Police released the names of the four victims just before 11:00 a.m. this morning. Amanda Slisz, Megan Schnorr, both 16, Mark Brown, age 19 and Viktor Shapiro, age 18, were all killed in the accident.

Police are continuing to investigate at the scene.
