Man Crashed Into Median During Pursuit, Officials Say

SALINAS, Calif. - KSBW.com
Officers had to use a stun gun to stop a known gang member who fled after a routine traffic stop, police said.
Hilario Contreras, 24, who is a known Sureno gang member, took off after cops stopped him at North Main and East Market streets at 2:57 a.m., authorities said.
Police said that during the pursuit, Contreras crashed into a median, got out of the vehicle and then fled on foot.
Officers eventually caught Contreras and used a stun gun to subdue him.
