RILEY COUNTY, Kansas - New details are emerging in the investigation surrounding the discovery of two dead bodies in Riley County.

Authorities have identified the victims and say a suspect is now behind bars.

A hunter found the two bodies last week in a shallow grave northwest of Manhattan. The chief says the victims are 18-year-old Tanya Maldonado and her 15-month-old son Juan. Both were from the Chicago area.

A 22-year-old man was arrested near Austin, Texas in connection with the crimes. He's currently being held on a $2.5 million bond.
