Woman Killed in Route 50 Accident

An accident in Clarksburg, left one person dead on Sunday morning.

It happened on Route 50 East, just before 11 a.m. Officials say the driver was a woman in her mid to late 80s. She died on scene. Accident re-constructionists were on scene and say it appears the woman ran into the ditch, which caused the car to flip. Police say the car was in good working order, even after the crash, which leads them to believe a medical condition may have played a role in the accident.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
