Health Department schedules more swine flu shot clinics

The Kern County Department of Public Health has scheduled 17 swine flu vaccine clinics for the month of November. The public is reminded that supplies are limited and all clinics are subject to postponement depending on availability of vaccine. Planned H1N1 Flu Vaccine Clinics include: • Monday, November 2 from 2 pm to 5 pm at the Arvin Public Health Office. • Tuesday, November 3 from 4 pm to 7 pm at North High School. • Wednesday, November 4 from 10 am to 1 pm at the Kerr McGee Center. • Wednesday, November 4 from 10 am to 3 pm at the Shafter Public Health Office. • Thursday, November 5 from 10 am to 1 pm at the Veteran’s Hall in Lake Isabella. • Thursday, November 5 from 1 pm to 3 pm at the Veteran’s Hall in Mojave. • Thursday, November 5 from 9 am to 11 am at the Rosamond Community Services District. • Friday, November 6 from 10 am to 12 pm at the Inyokern Baptist Church. • Friday, November 6 from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Pine Mountain Club. • Monday, November 9 from 10 am to 1 pm at the Veteran’s Hall in Tehachapi. • Monday, November 9 from 3 pm to 5 pm at Central Baptist Church in Bakersfield. • Tuesday, November 10 from 10 am to 1 pm at the Kernville Odd Fellows’ Hall. • Wednesday, November 11 from 10 am to 3 pm at the Wasco Public Health Office. • Thursday, November 12 from 2 pm to 5 pm at the Boys and Girls Club in Lamont. • Friday, November 13 from 2 pm to 5 pm at Coronado Baptist Church in Bakersfield. • Tuesday, November 17 from 10 am to 1 pm at the Weldon United Methodist Church Social Hall. • Wednesday, November 25 from 9 am to 11 am at the Richard Prado Center. Priority groups for the H1N1 flu vaccine include: • Children 6 months to 24 years • Pregnant Women • Caregivers of children 6 months of age and younger • Persons with Underlying Health Conditions 24 years to 64 years • Healthcare Workers
