The wet weather has hampered the wrap up of construction season. Several North Dakota DOT projects were supposed to be done by Halloween, but the rain and muck have kept equipment idle for too many days.

The big project on 12th Avenue north has been slowed again. Kevin Gorder with the DOT says they have a few more sections to pour, and University Drive South is close to having both lanes open. On main in West Fargo, crews still need to put down lane markers and clean up.

Kevin Gorder "The dirt is so wet now, and we're trying to get those finishing touches, get the dirt up against the road and behind sidewalks just making a mess everywhere we look. It's so wet, to use it, to work with it."

Gorder expects it to be a couple of weeks before 12th Avenue north opens.
