Suspect Killed In Armed Bank Robbery In Sawyer Co.

Authorities say a bank robbery suspect has been shot and killed, one is on the run and another is in custody.

County Authorities say they received a report of a holdup alarm at the Dairyland State Bank in Exeland around 2:30pm on Friday.

Police say two men drove off and eventually fled their vehicle in the southern portion of the county one of them was caught the other is still on the run.

The driver of the vehicle continued traveling into Rusk County where the vehicle was eventually immobilized by county deputies.

That's where the Wisconsin state patrol says officers shot and killed the man.

The suspect in custody was transported to the Sawyer County Jail and is being held there.
