CORPUS CHRISTI - Trick-or-Treaters will take over on Halloween Saturday night and you can expect to see a lot of superheroes and a popular Wizard of Oz character. At the Spirit Halloween Superstore those are the costumes selling quickest. "GI Joe, Transformers for boys and Dorothy as well for little girls, they went by really fast" head cashier Kassie Goce said. For women the sexier the better and the guys are going slasher stars like Michael Myers and Jason. But the biggest seller, Michael Jackson costumes. Goce said "every shipment that we got, in the next few days they were gone. We actually had people wanting them on hold before they actually came in. So, they were really popular."

But not everyone follows the crowd. Some of the Halloween shoppers we talked to had anything but trendy costumes in mind. Triston Culp said "my mom's going to go as a corpse bride and my sister's going as, get this, gothic Raggedy Ann." Cassie Boyle said her boyfriend is going as a zombie prom queen and she's going to be a zombie prom king.

Finding a costume is fun, but remember safety should always be first. Make sure the costume fits right, so your child doesn't trip. Also, face paint is better than masks, because they can sometimes cover your eyes. And, don't forget a flashlight. "We do give out glow sticks or something, so they won't get lost in the dark" Goce said. Target also sells glow bracelets and clips and safety tape. So there's plenty of things to make sure your child can be seen in the dark. Another thing to keep in mind, the weather. It's expected to be a bit cooler on Halloween night, so dress appropriately.
