BLUFFTON, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) -- Harsh criminal charges for four young Adams County men in the death of a Uniondale teen.
Wells county sheriff Bob Frantz says he thinks a drug dispute resulted in the death of 19-year-old Justin Sprow Tuesday night.
Wells County police say Sprow died after being shot through the windshield of his car near the intersection of 800-North and 100-West in Wells county.
His passenger, 19-year old Randy Haney, was able to hide in a nearby cornfield and call 9-1-1. He was not hurt.
This morning, 18-year olds Cody Barkley and Jonathan Thatcher were each charged with murder, felony murder, and conspiracy to commit robbery resulting in serious bodily injury.
22-year old Dustin Jackson, and 17-year old Cody Mendez are also charged with the same three class-a felonies.
Each charge carries a potential sentence of up to 65-years in prison. They are all being held without bond and each has a trial date set for next spring.
