BILLINGS - Help for people in Libby facing asbestos-related illnesses could start as early as next month. Senator Max Baucus announced Thursday that services are scheduled to begin November 9th and will be funded by a 6-million dollar grant from the Department of Health and Human Services to the Lincoln County Health Department. Baucus says this is one more step in the fight to bring justice to Libby residents. "We're finally getting some medical care and I'm just so excited for the people there," said Baucus. "We have a ways to go, yet we're not going stop till everybody gets the health care they need and Libby gets totally cleaned up." In addition to the health care, the federal government also has plans to help Libby residents with cleanup work in homes and other structures around town.
