It took about 15 minutes for rescue crews to get to 79-year-old Richard Smith, who was trapped inside the car.

Surveillance video from cameras rolling outside the nearby American Legion captured the entire incident.

The video shows Smith's car hitting another car, and then a parked mini van before rolling over. Crews had to remove the roof of the car and two doors to get Smith to safety.

The crash blocked the section of Monongahela Avenue between Fourth and Fifth streets for an hour.

Crews wrapped Smith in a blanket until paramedics arrived.

Channel 4 Action News' Sheldon Ingram reported Smith is currently in intensive care in the hospital, but the extent of his injuries has not been released.

Smith's wife told Ingram that her husband told her last night that he blacked out before the incident.

Police are still investigating the crash.
