APOPKA, Fla. - WESH.com
Authorities in Apopka arrested a man accused of robbing a local pharmacy on Thursday.
The suspect was transported to a hospital after suffering dog bites from police K-9 units.
Investigators said William Peacock, 43, entered a Walgreen's in downtown Apopka, approached the pharmacy counter and demanded some very strong painkillers, which the pharmacist said weren't in the store's inventory.
The pharmacist said he did provide the suspect with hydrocodone pills instead. The man was apparently wearing a surgical mask with holes cut out around the eyes.
When Peacock fled from the store, authorities said the K-9 units found him, and he'll be booked later on Thursday at the Orange County Jail.
