State budget cuts are skimming at least the surface of most state agencies, including community health care, which is funded in part by the Arkansas Department of Health.
Close to a million dollars will be cut from community healthcare centers across the state.
Jefferson Comprehensive Care System in Pine Bluff sees 85 to 100 people per day and charges them on a sliding scale.
And while the budget cuts will make things a little lean, the clinic will stay up and running at all costs.
"A tremendous need... and as the economy has worsened, that need has grown, says Executive Director Larnell Davis.
