PolyMet Releases Environmental Impact Statement

PolyMet, which would be located near Babbit and Hoyt Lakes, released a proposed environmental impact statement today.

The EIS draft is four years in the making and is open to comments from the public before being finalized by the DNR and Corps.

The main environmental concern addressed in the statement is sulfuric acid run off into the boundary waters area and Lake Superior.
