Palm Beach County Woman's Body Found In Keys

KEY LARGO, Fla. - WPBF.com

The body of a 48-year-old Palm Beach County woman has been found in Key Largo, the Monroe County Sheriff's Office said.

Sheriff's detectives said the victim was found wrapped in plastic Tuesday.

Fingerprints have identified the woman, although investigators are not releasing her name pending notification of next of kin.

An autopsy was conducted, but it did not reveal a cause or manner of death.

"There just wasn't any obvious sign of what killed this woman when the autopsy was done," Monroe County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Becky Herrin said. "It wasn't due to decomposition. I believe it was due to just nothing obvious being available."

The investigation is ongoing.
