SCOTT COUNTY, Ind. - WLKY.com
A southern Indiana school teacher and his son have been arrested on marijuana charges.
Mark Hildebrand has taught in the Scott County, Ind., school system for more than three decades.
"We received a tip (Tuesday) there was possibly someone living at an address on Double or Nothing Road that was in possession of marijuana," said Sgt. Jerry Goodin of Indiana State Police.
Troopers went to the home just outside Scottsburg and said they found two men inside, along with 2.9 pounds of marijuana.
Hildebrand, 56, and his son, 26-year-old Jade Hildebrand, were arrested without incident.
Both were charged with possession of marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Mark Hillebrand teaches physical education and health at Scottsburg Middle School.
Asked about his status, Superintendent Bob Hooker said, "He's not at school today, he's in jail."
"Right now, we have no indication whatsoever that there was any type of drug activity at the school," Goodin said.
Bail for both was set at $10,000, 10 percent.
Both are due back in court Thursday morning.
