LODI, Ohio - Authorities are investigating a train derailment in Medina County.
The derailment occurred Wednesday afternoon along Railroad Street near an old train depot in Lodi.
The mayor of Lodi said six cars went off the track around 4 p.m. Two of the cars contained crude oil, which did not leak, and four were empty.
There were no evacuations and no injuries.
The train was a CSX freight train.
Lodi fire and rescue and CSX responded to the scene. Medina emergency is on stand by.
Authorities are still investigating how the derailment happened, but it appears that a wheel cartridge came loose and caused a chain reaction.
