Standoff ends in Anthony

ANTHONY, Kansas - A standoff in Anthony involving a man and his parents has ended, according to the Harper County sheriff.

Police dealt with a hostage situation for several hours Wednesday afternoon in the 1000 block of E. Main after a man held his parents in a home there. A nursing facility was evacuated and the hospital was put on lockdown.

The suspect was taken into custody at around 3:30.
