A man was arrested in Boyle County Wednesday afternoon after he allegedly fired shots at a U.S. postal truck as it drove away from his residence.

The incident happened at about 12:15 p.m. on Regency Road in Danville. Police say Juan Montez Warner, 36, fired multiple shots at the postal truck, hitting it twice. The postal worker in the truck was not hit, and drove away and called police.

Police then surrounded Warner's home and began making attempts to contact him by phone. Eventually, police were able to contact family members, who convinced Warner to come out of the home and surrender to police.

Warner was arrested without further incident. He is charged with two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment. He is being held in the Boyle County Detention Center.
