More Details Emerge In Death Of Laurel County Toddler

More details are emerging about the about a 23-month-old Laurel County toddler whose mother is charged with his death.

The police citation for Amanda Johnson, 21, accuses her of abusing 23-month-old Stephen Troy over a period of time. The documents says the boy had several bruises and two fractures to his left leg. The boy died last Friday after being rushed to a hospital in London. The coroner said the boy died from blunt force trauma to the abdomen.

Johnson plead not guilty to murder and criminal abuse and is being held in the Laurel County Detention Center.

Stephen Troy will be laid to rest Thursday at the Bowling Funeral Home in London. Visitation starts at 11 a.m. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m..
