Fire Destroys Garrard County Home

A fire in Garrard County destroyed a house early Wednesday.

It happened around 1 a.m. just off Kentucky 39 in Lancaster. We're told a driver passing by saw the house burning and called 9-1-1. No one was home at the time. The owner was at work, while her son with with a friend in Nicholasville.

Investigators said the fire does not appear suspicious. However, there is no word on a cause.
